No computer, no blog :-(

Our desktop hard drive on and off button went out about two months ago. We figured it was from Joel pushing it in as hard as he could, over and over again, and breaking it. But no, Jav took it in today and was told it would cost $200 to get it fixed, it was more than just the button. And a newer, faster one costs $400.00. Our laptop is around five or six years old, and started popping completely off while we were in the middle of things about three weeks ago. It would just shut down with no battery warning or anything. Then the little "mousepad" area where you navigate started sticking, and finally got to the point where I was having to almost pop the piece up and almost off to get it to work. Then it stopped working too. NOT GOOD COMPUTER GODS (which have sure been laughing at me behind my back for the last two weeks. We still have some hope that replacing the battery and little mousepad thingie will save the laptop. So for almost a month we have been using Jav's work computer at night. During the day I've been struggling (in a totally First World sense) with using my phone to do internet-y things. I have missed out on upating my blog, We have been through some changes, some happy, some sad in the weeks that I have missed. I'll try to get caught up, but at my own speed (lately very turtle-like). We haven't really budgeted for a new computer, and weren't going to put one on the list for Santa this year. But now on the list it must go. More to come.
